Instructions for Updating Player Details etc in WGS

Please note that players will not appear on the ‘Squad List’ until they have been submitted to and approved by the League.

The process is as follows;
1) Go to Player Registration on the WGS and search for your player.

2) You may find the parents details are already added. If not, then click on the ‘E-mail Capture’ tab on the left of the screen. This is a new tab added by the FA in the last few days. Follow the instructions on this tab to add parents details including email.

3)  Click on player’s name and go to Contact Details and then Edit Details

4) Upload an image of the player and then Save Changes. The photo must be a close up of the face only or it will be rejected

5) Go back to the Player Registration tab. You may have to search for the player again.

6) Consent for the player to be registered for your team must be obtained from the parent and can be ‘Online Consent’ or ‘Offline Consent’.

The process for ‘Online Consent’ is as follows;
A) Click on the box to the left of the player’s name and this opens a lot of boxes at the top of the page. Click on Request Consent. This sends an email request to the player’s parent and he/she needs to follow the instructions in the email.
B) To check if consent has been received from the parent, search for the player and click on the arrow on the far right of the player’s name. If the parent has replied, the consent box will show green.
C) When the ‘Consent’ has been received from the parent, click on the box to the left of the player’s name and click on ‘Submit to League’  in one of the boxes at the top of the page.
D) If your club has decided on ‘Offline Consent’ ,  click on the ‘Confirm Offline Consent’ button.  In this case, the club must produce a ‘Consent’ form and keep a signed copy of the form which can be requested  by the league if necessary.
Finally, The FA has produced a Knowledge Base which will answer many of your queries. I have found it very useful and would request that you view this before sending queries to the league. The link to the Knowledge Base is;
